As Metallica returns to the studio, and to the road, Anger in Chicago rises again! Join us
at our HQ-Chicago on Saturday, June 23rd, for the re-birth!

I'd like to refer you to a certain ticket broker for all your hard-to-find ticket needs, but it seems we
have become free agents this spring. If you're interested in advertising with Angerinchicago.com, please email us, or email Webmaster Dave!
Our most recent meetings were at our Chicago HQ in April and May. You can read about those meetings in a special two-for-one edition of our Chapter page. Our next Chapter meeting/party date is coming up this summer. Stay tuned for details. If you are interested in attending our next meeting, and learning what the buzz is really all about, please email us!
Our January SKOM DVD release party / Tsunami relief fundraiser was a rousing success. Thanks to everybody who was a part of it!

Extreme thanks yet again to Niclas and Met On Tour!

As we all know, Metallica has just wrapped up their two-night stand here in Chicago. Most of this chapter spent both nights at the shows, and many of us were front row on the rail for both nights. Quite a few of us also went to the various shows in Milwaukee, Moline, and Peoria. It's been quite a week for Chicago-area Metallica fans! I think we all agree that the setlist for the 2nd night in Chicago was simply amazing. I've said it before, but we want to extend our sincere thanks yet again to Niclas Swanlund of the Metclub for making sure we were well represented on the site this week. In addition to the photos, your friendly Chapterhead Jeff, along with your humble Webmaster Dave, Gabriella, Rob, and Joe J. can all be seen in the opening minutes of the Moline video as we walk onto the arena floor as doors open. That video can be viewed at MetOnTour.com, or you can link directly to the high-speed version of the video here. (Link should open in Windows Media Player.)
Thanks for joining, I believe, the ENTIRE chapter in Rosemont. We'll see everyone together again at our next chapter meeting in early October. I'm sure we'll all have lots to discuss!

Extra-special thanks again to Niclas and Met On Tour!
Remember, the film Metallica: Some Kind of Monster is STILL PLAYING. If you haven't
had a chance to see this tremendous film, you don't want to miss this opportunity. Trust me, if you enjoy
this band's music, or even if you don't like "the new stuff" you will find something to love about this
movie. Don't miss this chance to see the film the way Bruce, Joe, and the band want it to be seen, on
the big screen. You can learn more about this critically acclaimed film at
www.somekindofmonster.com.

On Sunday, August 15, 2004, our chapter was shocked to learn of the sudden death of one of our own, Scott Moore. Scott was not only a member of this chapter, he was a close friend to several of us. We are all very saddened by his loss. Scott was a Cubs fan, a poker player, a wrestling fan, and of course a Metallica fan. I wish I'd had the chance to know him better. On behalf of everyone associated with Anger in Chicago, we would like to extend our deepest and most sincere condolences to Scott's family, and to those he was close with. Scott, we love you, we miss you, and we salute you.
Our Members page was updated on August 23rd. Stop by and learn a bit more about the individuals who make up our chapter.
Our previous chapter meetings have taken place in monthly since June of '03. Check out our Chapter archive sections here, here, here, here, here and here to read more about all of these earlier editions.

Extra-special thanks to Niclas and Met On Tour!
Our chapter attended the first Chicago screening of the film Metallica: Some Kind Of Monster, which took place Friday, April 2nd at the Gateway Theatre. Thanks to Bruce Sinofsky for helping to make that a special night for everyone!
To see our response to an ignorantly bad review of the film, check these letters to the editor out.
Anger In Chicago turns one year old this summer. Our birthday celebration can be found in our chapter section
archives here.
Step One for several of our members was the front row at the Madison Wisconsin stop of the tour, on Sunday,
May 2nd! Additional celebration activities included our backyard BBQ party in late May, and a strong AIC showing
at various Midwest tour stops, including the front row again for a group of us in Moline!

The Chicago Sanitiarium concert ended a few hours ago. The show was great, MAD THANKS to Toby and the Metclub for getting us up front in the "pit" area. The show was awesome, you can check out the setlist and more at MetOnTour.com. What you probably won't read there is that Fred Durst cut his limpbizkit set short, and left after only 5 songs, after literally being booed offstage. To the best of my knowledge, that was the first time all tour that has happened. Give yourselves a hand, Chicago!
If you met any of our chapter members, or picked up a flyer, at the show, please let us know that you made it to the site. If you remember who you talked to, email us! Check out our Members page for our individual email addresses, or just drop a line to our chapter address, AngerInChicago@yahoo.com
Our new and improved Message Board is now up and running, check it out! Much thanks to Gabriella on that one!
Check out the newly updated Chapter page, now complete with pictures and descriptions of our most recent chapter meetings. Also check out the Members page to learn more about the individuals who make up this chapter.
Do any of you have stories to tell about Summer Sanitarium in Chicago? Please head over to our
Message Board and tell us about it!

I'm happy to announce that we are officially done with using free, low-quality web servers. Nothing
