Our Winter Edition took place on Saturday, January 29, 2005.

I think we all were looking forward to a great party for January. I'm sure of this because so many members planned on attending. Not only members, but returning guests, not to even mention new folks. We had it all. Most members, people that are thinking about joining, and guests of members. We enjoyed seeing Phil and Jeff's girlfriends and Kelly from Algonquin. I think our special guest Rubin did not disappoint when he surprised us with much swag for raffles and sharing his Metallica memorabilia billboard and picture book. Rubin's generosity was overwhelming. We welcome all our guest back to the next edition.

It was hardly a meeting as there wasn't any business discussed but for sure it was a party. We were not lacking in the liquor department at all. So much liquor that Phil Van made an astounding statement! (Video Coming Soon, Promise!)

Metallica Karaoke was promised and we always deliver by the fully amped Hector, along with Rob using his new ESP Custom white “Jaymz” guitar, jammed most of the early part of the evening, often times drowning out the videos.

The Anger In Chicago video production staff put together a theater-style projection of all Metallica videos new and old including a tribute to Dimebag Darrel with the 1991 Pantera Monsters of Rock show from Russia.

AIC managed to put together a $35 donation to the American Red Cross Disaster Reflief Fund through money earned from $1 raffles for Metallica swag throughout the night. (Thanks Gabriella.) In addition to the Tsunami relief fund many of us collected clothes and shoes to donate to a worthy Chicagoland charity.

Some Kind of Monster DVD release was the theme of the party so we finally got to watching in it's entirety ‘til three in the morning.

Many people enjoyed the night so much that they decided to sleep over. Can’t have a bunch of drunk Metallifux on the road, now can we?

One of the founding five members of Anger In Chicago celebrated his 21st birthday and we all celebrated so much we forgot to eat the birthday cake. So he took it to go Sunday morning.

I hope to see everyone for the Anger In Chicago Spring Edition if not sooner.
